Event Recap: Gen8: The New Standard of Servers
On May 9th, Kelser Corporation hosted an informative lunch event at The Society Room in Hartford, CT. “Gen8: The New Standard of Servers” brought IT executives from the Hartford area together to learn and discuss how new technology and methodologies can solve business problems. Along side Kelser, co-presenting at the event were partners Hewlett-Packard and AMD. The program consisted of educational presentations, a delicious buffet-style lunch, networking, and of course dessert.
Jonathan Stone, Technology Solutions Executive from Kelser Corporation, kick-started the event with an overview of Kelser’s offerings and a background on AMD and HP, including current offerings that can save both time and money for today’s time-strapped IT executive. By switching to the new generation of servers, short and long term savings can be realized, and high performance can be achieved. Stone stressed the importance of choosing the right server technology, implemented by the proper professional service organization to achieve success.
AMD and HP focused on their newest product lines, specifically in the server realm. AMD’s Jack Mandelberger focused on the key differentiator of AMD’s processors, offering a combination of value and performance. Carlos Ribeiro of HP spoke of the new Gen8 servers, offering unparalleled performance and new features that captured the attendance of all in the room.
