Logistics Staff

Location: Kelser Warehouse

Reports to: Manager, Logistics

Logistics staff members are accountable for the entire inbound and outbound movement of inventory as well as participating in counts and general upkeep and maintenance of the facility, equipment and vehicles. While each staff member may have a particular focus – i.e. receiving or shipping – all are cross-trained to enable flexibility of scheduling and coverage for planned and unplanned absences.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming trucks, by hand, forklift or pallet jack. Load any outgoing trucks.
  • Stock products received on a daily basis. Place in designated areas by customer.
  • Pick orders and capture any required data.
  • Pack outgoing shipments correctly to avoid any damage in transit.
  • Clerical work, scan or type outgoing shipments; Operate RF scanners to accurately fill orders and effectively manage inventory.
  • Remove trash & cardboard daily.
  • General cleaning, organizing & sweeping daily.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies when performing picking assignments.
  • Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move warehouse materials adhering to proper safety instructions and as directed.
  • Other tasks as reasonably requested by manager.
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
  • Able to lift 50lbs, stand, bend, twist for 5-6 hours.
  • Language skills; demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak English to accurately perform duties.
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in computer applications including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software programs related to function.
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification; operating a hand operated pallet jack.
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
