Kelser is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a technical hands-on working Manager of IT Network Engineering Services. This role is responsible for leading the delivery of project based and managed services to Kelser’s entire client base. This role is responsible for leading the engineering team in successful delivery of our professional services and managed services. The successful candidate will provide mentoring to the engineering staff and establish goals for delivery, efficiency, and implementation of best practices.

This role will interface regularly with customers, sales, project management, and executive leadership in order to provide a best-in-breed delivery experience. The Manager, Network Engineering Services should be technically sound in networking technologies and in one or more additional technology disciplines. This management role is critical to our ongoing business operations and will require a team player able to lead a highly effective team.

  • Manage all aspects of Kelser’s engineering department operations including but not limited to process and procedures, technology solutions, personnel, and resource allocation
  • Provide thought leadership in Kelser’s technologies and solutions
  • Provide networking technical leadership and implementation
  • Perform pre-sales consultations with clients and Kelser Sales Executives
  • Develop and validate proposals, Statements of Work, and MSP Agreements
  • Work closely with Project Management to ensure the successful completion of projects and engagements on time and within budget
  • Provide engineering architecture support to Kelser internal IT 
  • Review sales and marketing documents for technical accuracy
  • Mentor engineers to be able to deliver consistent solution designs and well written documentation
  • Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends and contribute recommendations for products and solutions
  • Develop and promote career advancement within the engineering team
  • Regularly review time tracking and time utilization for consulting


  • 5+ years in IT showing regular progression, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience managing a technical team
  • Experience within an MSP or ongoing operations environment a plus
  • An understanding of automation and how to promote the use of it for efficiency in operations
  • Ability to coach, manage, and develop technical staff
  • Ability to develop and streamline work management processes
  • Ability to manage remote team members
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate openly across the organization – especially with sales
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki design and deployment experience
  • Working knowledge Wi-Fi security methods, VLANS, VTP, STP
  • IPSec, SSL, and remote access VPN solutions
  • Advanced IP addressing understanding
  • Proficient with DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Radius, and other network related services
  • Network security best practices
  • AWS, Azure VPN, virtual firewall, and networking expertise
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
