Event Recap: 2016 Alzheimer's Association CT Brain Ball

News | Events | Foundation

HARTFORD, CT – Kelser employees helped raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the second annual Brain Ball presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter at the Connecticut Science Center.

Kelser was a proud sponsor of the event where attendees danced the night away all while indulging in hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Both live and silent auctions provided additional fundraising opportunities. Even Cinderella and Prince Charming made an appearance, promoting the “Enchanted Shoes” drawing – an event where participants made a donation to try on an “enchanted” shoe hoping that it would fit, to have a chance at a special prize.

“We’ve greatly enjoyed both the first and second annual events and will continue to do so in the future.” said Kelser Marketing Manager Lisa Carroll. “It’s a fun filled evening with good food and music and many opportunities to meet new friends while connecting with old.”

The Brain Ball is a cocktail style reception presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter to bring together the area’s most influential and respected political, business, and social leaders to raise awareness and forward the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Funds raised from the event are directed towards research and support services for those who face the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s.
