- Glastonbury, Conn. – Technology consulting firm Kelser Corporation is the newest sponsor of UConn men’s and women’s basketball, football, and hockey.
Kelser provides technology services such as cybersecurity and disaster recovery to businesses of all types within a 75-mile radius of its headquarters in Glastonbury—prime Huskies territory.
As a company with many client relationships dating back decades, Kelser CEO and President Barry Kelly says he admires the dedicated fan base UConn Athletics has fostered in the region. “In a state with a lot of options for fans sandwiched between two of the biggest sports markets in the world—diehard UConn fans are everywhere,” says Kelly, himself a fan. “It’s the school you want to root for through thick and thin. You can see it on the field, on the court, on the ice, and in how the teams represent our state.”
“As a local business that works to help its clients thrive and does a lot of great work in the community, Kelser reflects the values we strive to uphold at every level of our organization,” UConn director of athletics David Benedict said. “While orange may not be our favorite color, I look forward to seeing some Kelser branding in our venues this season!”
Kelser adds UConn to a host of educational and charitable organizations it supports through sponsorships, its foundation, and volunteer and fundraising efforts from employees.
“Whenever I attend a UConn game and see local businesses I know represented among the sponsors,” Kelly says, “it says a lot about those organizations. With this new partnership, we feel very fortunate to be part of that roster.”
About Kelser Corporation and the Kelser Foundation
Since 1981, Kelser Corporation has helped organizations achieve their goals through technology. Based in Glastonbury, Kelser is proud to assist a wide variety of organizations in the Northeast—including some of the largest companies in Connecticut—in using technology to move their businesses forward. Kelser’s experienced team of technology consultants understand their clients’ businesses as deeply as the products and services Kelser provides. The result is technology that works on behalf of businesses, not the other way around.
Kelser is extremely active in volunteering and philanthropic activities contributing more than $870,000 and countless food items, man hours, and articles of clothing to those in need over the years. In 2011, the Kelser Foundation was created to expand and formalize these service efforts. The foundation’s flagship event is the Kelser Charity Challenge golf tournament, now in its 22nd year, among many other events and initiatives.
