Kelser Chips in For Charity

Written by Adam Stahl | October 20, 2011

Giving back has always been at the core of Kelser’s culture, contributing in various ways to the local community. As much as the unpredictable New England weather will allow, golf events become an integral part of our philanthropic endeavors. The last few months have been our busiest season to date. Whether as player, sponsor, or volunteer, Kelser has participated in 8 recent golf events, all for well deserving organizations, highlighted by our own 15th Annual Kelser Charity Challenge.

Lisa Carroll, Marketing Manager for Kelser and Challenge organizer, saw this year as a great success. “This year we had more than 120 participants, including employees, customers, partners, and friends. It is everyone's collective generosity which allows us to donate in excess of $10,000 year after year to the ALA. This year is no different.”

The Challenge is a large part of our annual charitable giving plan. Other events include the CRT Golf Classic, SGT Steven J. DeLuzio Memorial Golf Tournament, the UPS Tournament, Webster Bank Invitational, the Cougar Classic, the Columbus Day Italian Open, and Birdies for the Brave. Beneficiaries of these efforts include The American Lung Association, Meals on Wheels, the Wounded Warrior Project, United Way, the Manchester Community College Foundation, the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and more.

The Kelser Foundation looks to continue the trend into 2012. Please check back often for updates and information.
