News | Events

West Hartford, CT - On October 5, 2011 Kelser hosted the “Security & Compliance and the Future of Mobile Computing” forum at the Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford, CT. The morning event focused on recognizing and addressing security risks in IT, and in particular, mobile devices.

Kelser assembled strategic partners from Lenovo, Webster Bank, Absolute Software, Kingston Technology and Quantum to provide insight into today’s primary security problems and solutions. Discussions focused on data protection and backup, tracking of mobile assets and how to keep them secure, encryption, locked access, and other issues.

Andrew Hoffmann, VP of Corporate Strategies at Kelser, spoke on the move to cloud computing, outlining the associated risks and protection. He explained, “I chose to focus our topic around Cloud Computing & BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) because these are two current developments that are presenting significant challenges for today's enterprise IT management, especially around security. Failure to adopt either may put your organization behind the 8 ball. However, implementing without proper thought and planning could expose you to tremendous risk.”

Kelser’s Security professionals provide security solutions to mid-sized and enterprise corporations, offering consultation, assessments, testing, discovery and other services.
