Press Release: Kelser Over a Decade Strong in Lung Health Support

News | Foundation | Press Release

East Hartford, CT - Barry Kelly, President of Kelser Corporation, presents Jeffery Seyler, President/CEO of the American Lung Association in New England with a check from the proceeds of their Kelser Charity Challenge. For over eleven years, Kelser has hosted a charity golf tournament to benefit the ALA and has raised more than $150,000 to support the ALA’s mission to save lives through improving lung health and preventing lung disease. The East Hartford based firm has become one of the area’s most faithful supporters of lung health in Connecticut. This year’s Kelser Golf Tournament to benefit the American Lung Association will take place September 20th at the Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Connecticut.

Kelser Corporation was founded in 1981 and provides IT intelligence, products, and services to the enterprise business community throughout the US including some of the most recognizable names in global finance and insurance. The company specializes in robust computing platforms and innovative storage and converged networks designed to enhance performance, productivity, stability and security.

The proceeds from the Kelser Golf Tournament provide invaluable funding for lung health programs and advocacy right here in Connecticut. Attendees showed their support for the ALA while enjoying a great day of golf; participating in contests such as Closest to the Pin, Closest to the Line, and Long Drive; bidding in an expansive silent auction. Along with the contest prizes offered on the green, a handsome prize was awarded to the overall tournament winners. Barry Kelly, President of Kelser Corporation, commented,” I am absolutely blown away at the success of this years’ event. There has been a lot of belt tightening in the last couple of years and to have the turnout we experienced this year was fantastic. Not only was it a sellout but the event was perfect! Great weather. Great people. Great course conditions and a great benefactor.”
