Event Recap: 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's

News | Events | Foundation

23 members of the “Kelser Krew” team participated in the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Hartford, CT to raise funds and awareness to combat Alzheimer’s disease. Part of the Kelser Foundation charitable initiative, employees and their relatives took part in this wildly successful event.

Raindrops fell, but spirits were high, as walkers and volunteers gathered in Bushnell Park in Hartford on Sunday morning. Many walked in support of a loved one who has been affected by the disease. Like most of the participants, many Kelser Krew team members have a personal connection to the cause. No amount of rain could stop this enthusiastic crowd from taking part in this monumental and critically important event.

As the massive crowd of walkers made their way around the park, they were accompanied by music and cheered on by the countless volunteers and supporters from surrounding communities. As the walk was winding down, the walkers crossed the finish area with waves of support, having accomplished much on a dreary day. The Kelser Krew raised $5,801 in much needed funds for the charity.
