Event Recap: The Seventeenth Annual Kelser Charity Challenge

News | Events | Foundation

Information technology solutions provider Kelser Corporation hosted their annual golf tournament, the Kelser Charity Challenge. 2013 marks the 17th year of the event, whose proceeds benefit the American Lung Association. Employees, partners, customers and friends of Kelser assembled at the Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, CT for a day of golf and camaraderie while supporting a great cause.

Since its inception, the challenge has raised over $170,000 in funds for the ALA. This year’s efforts will contribute significantly to that number. The Challenge is executed through the Kelser Foundation, managed by Kelser Marketing Manager Lisa Carroll.

“This event continually sells out earlier than the year before," Kelser Marketing Manager Lisa Carroll, who organizes and coordinates the event, related. "People look forward to seeing their friends and colleagues, playing on a beautiful course, and let’s not forget the wonderful weather! This is a testament to the many volunteers and sponsors that make it happen.”

The event sold out yet again, with 144 players in the field. Golfers received awards for accomplishments such as closest to the pin, closest to the line, long drive for both men and women, and prizes for the top three teams. The golfers, volunteers and sponsors enjoyed a dinner reception, raffles, an award ceremony and a silent auction to top off the day.
